South East Tour - 14-15 March
The Story So Far
Back in November, the Battle Bus made its debut voyage to Loughborough, where we met with local MP Nicky Morgan at the University before taking to the city streets.
Then in November, it accompanied us for our first Parliament Takeover: hundreds of young people from across the country descended on Westminster to tell their MPs they want a People's Vote.
Later that month, we hit the continent in protest of the government's Withdrawal Agreement, destroying a giant copy outside the European Commission in Brussels.
In December, the bus made it to Belfast, where our Northern Ireland team held a protest to stand up for the majority of residents who oppose Brexit.
In 2019 we went bigger, launching a series of two, three and four-day bus tours to visit our activists in universities and colleges around the country.
Straight off the mark in January, we visited our activists in Yorkshire, campaigning in York, Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield and Sheffield during a whistle-stop tour.
February was an even busier month. Kicking off in the northwest we travelled from Liverpool to Manchester before heading to the Midlands to visit Leicester, Birmingham, Warwick and Nottingham.
In early March we visited the southwest. Our activists were not deterred by adverse weather conditions, visiting Gloucestershire College, Bath, Bristol and Exeter. Wherever the bus has gone young people turned up in droves to sign it and get involved in the campaign.
